Discovery Notes | The soil sample was collected on September 17 (2021) from the forest floor, a few feet off of a trail at the Western Point of Trail 51 – National Capital Commission (NCC). The T51 waypoint sign was adjacent to the sampling site. The surrounding soil was loosely packed and relatively moist. |
Naming Notes | The appearance and pattern of plaques on my first plaque assay reminded me of a constellation in the night sky so I decided to name my phage "Night". |
