Discovery Notes | At approximately 11:30 PM, I collected my soil sample in between the roots of an oak tree and a body of water adjacent to the DATCU stadium (33.20344 N. 97.15494 W.) at an incline of 12° at an elevation of 693 feet. The temperature was 35° C (96°F) and the humidity was at 44%. The weather was clear, sunny skies, with no breeze. The soil was a little dry, but retained some moisture given its location. After digging roughly an inch to get through the topsoil, I obtained my sample and placed it in a plastic bag. |
Naming Notes | Oma was my late grandmother. She was a massive inspiration in my life and is the reason I am pursuing a career in medicine. Czaren is my partner. He has helped me overcome challenges. He helps me overcome my flaws and helps give me the strength to better myself through his encouragement and kindness. For these reasons, I wanted my first discovery to be named after these two. It was a way of saying I love them and I am forever thankful for them |
