Discovery NotesThe soil was taken from a rocky "ditch" for rainwater run-off by the road. It was very dry and easily crumbled after it was obtained. The ground itself was compact and hard to penetrate. Depth of soil sample was approximately 3 cm. Temperature and dewpoint were 28.9 and 14.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Naming NotesNamed after my go-to ice cream order: mint chocolate chip ice cream with peanut butter cups as toppings.

Plaque NotesPlaques were 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm in diameter. Most plaques were approximately 2.0 to 3.0mm in size. 0.5mm plaques were clear with a “pinprick” morphology. 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm have a small clear center and a large, turbid halo with fuzzy margins. 3mm plaques only developed after 48 hours of incubation at 37 degrees Celsius.
Multiple plaque assays confirmed that one phage was isolated and causing this morphology.
