Discovery Notes | Collected from a dirt sample next to a single tree on an island in the parking lot of Ramer Hall in Lafayette College. Conditions were extremely warm, but the soil collected (roughly 3 inches deep) was still somewhat damp. |
Naming Notes | The previous name for this phage came from the perseverance I needed to go through all the steps with isolating this phage's DNA. The standing name, however, is to honor the lab TA's who assisted me throughout the entire process, Kim and Paige. |
