Discovery NotesThe dirt sample was moist. It was taken from an urban setting. It was taken from a depth of 2 cm. This soil was taken from a very small garden on the side of the road next to the Pharmacy and Toxicology Center at University of the Sciences. There were a few flowering plants around the soil, but none were directly touching. The garden was elevated about 1 meter up, but was parallel with the ground. The soil was possibly tended because of the flowering plants. One interesting observation is that the soil seemed to have worms in it.
Naming NotesThis phage was named after the character Phillip Jay Fry from Futurama. I love Futurama and it was hard to resist a name from this show that has a phage pun in it.
