Discovery NotesSoil was collected around 11:00am on 08/21/2024. Soil was from a grassy median on Avenue C on the University of North Texas campus. Soil was very dry. It was 86°F (30°C), and it was sunny and somewhat humid at the time.
Naming NotesI just like foods made with potatoes, and I thought it was a fun name to use for a phage. Also, "Ping" was originally going to be "King", but I chose "Ping" due to the alliteration.
Sequencing Information
Sequencing Complete?No
Genome length (bp)Unknown
Character of genome endsUnknown
