Discovery NotesThe sample was collected in a residential backyard, under the canopy of trees. The surrounding soil was dry due to lack of rainfall. The sample was part of an anthill.
Naming NotesThe name was chosen by my partner and I because it was the first word we saw after finding out that our phage needed a name. Thus, Eppendorf was born.
