Discovery NotesCollected from farm land, years of rototilling, fertilizing, and monoculture. Clay-rich soil. Little detritus in topsoil (some sticks/rocks/plant matter visible). Collected ~1 inch below surface. Soil was not very hard (i.e. had some water content) but not too easily malleable (tools required to dig, not soft enough for hand collection).
Naming NotesI wanted to incorporate a less used word, and Ransack hit this plus is fun to use. Also, used as an acronym: Rhodococcus Annihilator. Not Stupid, Awesome Cell Killer.

Plaque NotesVery small plaques, most under 1mm, largest usually still under 1.5mm. Blurry or "foggy" centers of plaques suggest a Temperate phage. This is more obvious in spot tests with larger sizes of spots (resulting from higher concentration of phages).
