| Discovery Notes | Soil was collected from the base of an evergreen tree, the soil was claylike in consistency and still covered in ice from the wintertime. Soil was also from a manicured plot. |
| Naming Notes | Katie is a collegiate rower with the Gonzaga varsity team, hence the rower section of the name. The rascal section of the name stems from this lab being a large time commitment. Due to the temperate nature of our phage it was difficult to cultivate a high titer, which required that we spend a large portion of time in open lab. |

| Lysogeny Notes | We suspect that our phage had a more lysogenic life cycle due to the fact that we were never able to cultivate a high titer lysate with a concentration above 1.33x10^-7 despite multiple attempts of subsequent webbed plate floodings. More testing would need to be conducted. |
