Discovery NotesThe soil was found in my backyard where vegetables are grown. It was moist with a rich, dark brown color. Rain had not recently occurred but the area had been watered. Herbs are grown near it so it had organic material in it.
Naming NotesSable is a color known for its rich earth color. The soil sample was also very rich in color, so I thought it was a beautiful name for it.
