Discovery NotesThis bacteriophage was discovered in the backyard of Axel Flores. The soil contained moisture and seemed like a very rich place for bacteria and bacteriophages to be present since the soil seemed to be wet naturally though no rain present. The temperature at which the soil was extracted was 35°C
Naming NotesThe name of the phage refers to the historical region of Mexico called 'Nuevo Santander' which has been renamed to Tamaulipas and where the owner of this bacteriophage is native from.
