Discovery NotesSample was taken from the soil underneath a tree. Soil was dug ~5 inches into the ground before the sample was collected. Found in a park area that is regularly maintained and is well landscaped. Derived from Direct isolation.
Naming NotesSauga is short for the city of Mississauga, where I originally come from, which also comes from Anishinaabe word Misi-zaagiing, meaning "[Those at the] Great River-mouth", and the University of Ottawa happens to be near the Ottawa river as well.
