Discovery Notes | I collected the original soil sample from beneath a brush pile. There was low sun exposure, and the soil was damp. Sample was collected after extended dry period and high temperatures. |

Plaque Notes | Plaques are turbid and form halos. Sice produces plaques of varying sizes, from the size of a pinprick (0.5 mm) to about 1.5 mm. Sice grows very slowly, larger plaques being produced the longer it is incubated. Must be incubated for 48 hours to produce plaques of 1.5 - 2 mm diameter. Morphologies are extremely consistent across plates. |
