Discovery NotesMy collected soil came from coordinates (33.2087801N, 97.1484401W) in Denton, Texas. The temperature was 39°F at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The location where the soil was collected was in between the business building and Crumley Hall, near a tree and a bench. I dug with a plastic spoon about 1 to 2 cm below the top soil and placed both soil and plastic spoon in a plastic bag. The soil appeared to be a darker brown color under 1 to 2 cm compared to the top soil, which had a lighter color. The soil wasn't clumpy or moist but had a texture similar to sand. Also had extra materials such as rocks, roots, and leaves, which made digging a little difficult.
Naming NotesI named my phage SilentSword because the phage was killing bacteria.
