Discovery NotesThe sample was found in a horse pen. The pen was adjoined by an education building and an asphalt parking lot. The horse pen was comprised of very loose soil mixed in with occasional soil clumps and hay.
Naming NotesIn case this phage was ever used for any future treatment we wanted to name it in memory of the greatest football coach of all time. RIP John Madden (Apr 10th, 1936 - Dec 28th, 2021).
