Discovery NotesThe phage was discovered from dirt on a storm drain grate, located between Herak and the Foley Library at Gonzaga University. The soil was a greyish brown and a mixture of pasty and fine, loose soil. The drain had a strong odor of decaying material, such as dying plant matter (decomposing leaves from the nearby trees)
Naming NotesBecause of Jonathan and Niccolo's initial mishaps, the duo was dubbed "Team Deficient". The duo wished to name the phage after their instructor, Dr. Brian Connolly, but phage-naming protocol insisted on not using real-life names. And so the next best option for them was to name the phage after themselves. The duo concluded with: "TeamDeficient"
