Discovery NotesSoil was collected from a garden outside of Goolsby Chapel on August 24, 2014 at 3:25PM. The soil was rocky and contained wood chips. The soil was brown, and was collected approximately 3 inches from the surface. It was about a 100 degrees Fahrenheit at the time.
Naming NotesWe named the phage Telomer because it's a play on the anti-aging enzyme Telomerase. We did this because we believed that our phage was a temperate phage when we first isolated it.
