| From enriched soil sample? | Yes |
| Isolation Temperature | 37°C |
| GPS Coordinates | 40.7888 N, 73.04904 W Map |
| Discovery Notes | The phage was collected from a soil sample from Asweel's backyard garden. The soil sample was loose with few roots. It was dark brown and contained a lot of moisture. The sample was collected during good weather with clear skies and sunny. The temperature at the time of collection was about 76 degrees Celsius. |
| Naming Notes | The name is latin for "Green Murderer". The reasoning behind the name is that a significant number of the agar plates that contained the phage would be green in color. Furthermore, the phage is very effective at killing bacteria like a lot of bacteriophage hence the name ViridiHomicid or latin for "Green Murderer". |
