Discovery NotesFound on September 6th, 2021, at approximately 5 PM. Found in a rocky area, a rock was moved, and the dirt under the rock was dug one cm deep to collect the sample.
Naming NotesWe named our phage after the great Washington University in St. Louis, which was named after our founding father George Washington. We chose this name because we go to school at Washington University in St. Louis, and the soil sample that we isolated our phage from was taken from the university.
