Discovery NotesCollected soil from (33°01'20.2°N 96°55'09.8°W) in south eastern Denton, Texas. The temperature was about 80 degrees F and it was extremely hot in the morning. The location is in the center near some plants. I dug about the top 1 inch of soil from between the tree roots and placed in a plastic bag. The sample was labelled "Grant" soil.
Naming NotesI choose this name because it reminds me of the environment around us. I learned how to isolate viruses that inject bacteria from soil and then characterize their isolates. After performed all the experiments in the lab, I feel appreciated to the wildlife and nature.
