Discovery NotesDiscovered in September, temperature maybe near 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Lots of recent rain, soil was saturated and in an area with heavy plant growth, next to a mowed trail. Some puddles present. Sample was taken near ornithological nets used to capture passerines and hawks on migration south around Lake Superior.
Naming NotesThe phage consistently showed faint plaques, only easily visible when looked at directly through an overhead light source, with plaques of very small diameter, and with concentrations below those of other samples. It still wants to be a scientist, though. Therefore, Wimpy PhD.
