Discovery NotesWe discovered our phage outside of Gonzaga University's Hughes Hall in a flower bed. The soil from this sample was dry and filled with white organic matter. The soil sample was extracted from about an inch of soil.
Naming NotesWe decided to name our phage after the actor, filmmaker, and director Tommy Wiseau. Wiseau, the actor, is most known for his portrayal of Johnny, within the movie, The Room. The Room is known by critics as one of the worst drama movies of all time and we wanted to honor the eccentricity of our phage with the eccentricity of Tommy Wiseau.

Plaque NotesWe noticed that our plaques varied in size dramatically. After consulting with our instructor, we concluded that this size disparity may be a characteristic of our phage because it appeared within every round of our testing. Our plaques all appeared to be lytic plaques because they were all clear and not cloudy.
