Discovery NotesThe temperature was 90° F when I collected my soil sample, from a vegetation-dense area along a trail in the Lost River Caves, Bowling Green, KY. The sample site was surrounded by greenery, including trees and ground cover, indicative of the cave's humid and rich environment.
