Discovery NotesOur phage is from a flowerbed in front of Coughlin Hall on Gonzaga University's Campus. The soil that we collected our phage from was near concrete and right next to flowers. The dirt was very dry and we took 15 ml of the dirt as our first sample.
Naming NotesThe name of our phage came from a very popular slogan from Gonzaga University "Zags help zags." Which means that Gonzaga students help all other students, alumni, and anyone else connected to Gonzaga.
