Discovery Notes | This phage was found in a soil sample behind a house in a suburban neighborhood. This sample was collected in a wooded area that is part of a natural environment. The soil was lighter brown and absent from mulch. Also, there were no rocks in the area which made the extraction process easier. |
Naming Notes | From the play Annie the musical because both of my lab partners have Annie or Anna in their name. Also, this phage was from the "Phage Orphanage", so combining the parts yielded the name OrphanAnnie |
