Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered in the Fall 2025 semester by Rachana Bhattacharya, Neve Chachanashvili, Irma Li, and Liz Nogueira. This sample was taken on 08/25/2025 from the base of a tree, where it was slightly moist, though the weather had been sunny and dry for a few days. Instructor Kevin McDade.
Naming NotesThere were a few living ants in the sample, so we named this phage after these ants. They were safely released outside after the sample was used.
