Discovery NotesMy sample was collected at Idaho State University. It was colllected at the garden between the Gale Life Sciences building and the Speech Language Pathology/nursing building. It was collected by a pink flower, most likely a tulip. The soil had previously been irrigated, but was starting to dry up in the late summer sun. It was collected at about 10 in the morning, and the temperature outside was about 64 degrees Fahrenheit. The weather conditions were warm and mostly sunny, with very few clouds. The soil was semi-wet organic material.
Naming NotesI named my phage Arid because it represents the desert climate of the Intermountain West.
