| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was originally taken in sub-freezing temperatures from 4 inches below the surface as soil for a potted plant. The soil was kept wet and at 18.3 degrees Celsius for two weeks before a lab sample was taken from the pot. Previous, to taking this sample were had very little luck in obtaining a phage from the freezing soil outside. It was only with incubated soil that a phage could be found. |
