Discovery Notes | Phage was discovered in a damp, shady area in warm climate. Phage sample was collected in early September in a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius. |
Naming Notes | My phage was named after my dog Bailey who as a puppy exhibited stubborn characteristics but as he progressed became more reliable. Initially, my phage presented many challenges as we did not realize it was a low titer phage therefore it was difficult to explain the difficulty in isolating DNA from the stock. However, as the explanation surfaced, the phage was more easily understood. |
