Discovery Notes | Collected from tarp-covered piles of soil near Merrill College at UCSC. The soil was collected from about 2 inches from the surface and was slightly moist but still crumbly. |
Naming Notes | My phage displayed active growth cycles that showed both resourcefulness and resilience. These characteristics, along with my love for Jane Fonda, led me to name my phage Barbarella. |
