Discovery Notes-Collected from the corner of De Soto Street and 5th Ave
-3800 Fifth Ave (Google Maps formulated address)
- Collected on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 at 6:35 pm
-Observations:
- the soil was very moist, most probably due to the rainfall that had occurred the night before
-It was partly cloudy outside and the temperature was 75 degrees Fahrenheit
-There is a tree located about 3 feet from the site of the collection
-the soil was partially covered in mulch; however, before collection, some mulch was brushed away to allow a more homogenous collection of soil
-the soil was surrounded by concrete, and there were a few rocks scattered throughout the soil collection spot
-The sample was stored for about 21 hours inside of a plastic bag. The plastic bag was kept inside of a room temperature drawer during this time. It took approximately 5 minutes for the soil sample to be transported from the location spot to the place of storage.
Naming NotesMy high school, Saint Basil Academy, has the nickname Basils. I credit my desire to learn and succeed to the skills and knowledge I learned there and the empowerment I gained during my time there.
