Discovery NotesSarah Joiner, Niki Golestan, and Claire Jansen discovered this phage. This sample was from a compost bin. Around the environment were houses but the compost bin was on grass next to a garden and a concrete patio. There was a lot of broken up soil with bigger debris pieces in it. It was collected during a sunny day with a moderate to hot temperature. I did not have difficulty filtering the sample because I grabbed more broken up pieces of the soil.
Naming NotesWe wanted our name to have a rhyme in it and BeanMachine popped into our heads.
