Discovery NotesThe soil was found in a garden outside of Barco Law Building at the University of Pittsburgh on Thursday, September 12th at 12:00 pm. The soil was dark and had a lot of roots and debris from the garden.
Naming NotesIn my native language, Telugu, Bhumi means land or "the earth". I thought this name was appropriate for my phage since I found it in the soil that I collected at the University of Pittsburgh. This name is a way to connect my heritage to phage discovery.
