Discovery NotesCaramelSienna was found on a blade of natural prairie grass in Ames, Iowa. It was a sunny, 26C outside with moderate wind speed. The sample was collected on the bottom three inches of grass near the soil, with a small root ball with it.
Naming NotesThe name CaramelSienna is a tribute to my two dogs who died last year. Carmen was a caramel-colored mutt who we called Caramel, and Sienna was a German Shepherd. Sienna attacked and killed Carmen, and we had to put Sienna down. I wanted my phage to be named after them so they can live on.
