| Discovery Notes | I collected this sample from the intersection of Fifth Avenue and South Bouquet Street. The coordinates were 40.444835 N, -79.953922 W. There was an area of patchy grass and some uncovered soil towards the edge of the lawn. When I went to collect the soil it was Wednesday, January 18th at 3:50 pm. The weather was similar to the conditions in which I collected my second sample, it was 40 degrees F and dry out. It was a little difficult to break through the surface but after that the soil was more pliable. I collected about 1/4 of a cup of soil. |
| Naming Notes | I named this phage after my little brother and my interest in the Spanish language. His name is Carl James (CJ) and translated to Spanish it is Carlos Santiago. |
