Discovery NotesThe soil sample containing the phage was from frozen soil found in a grassy area beside the sidewalk next to the horseshoe at the Northern Apartments at Umass Amherst.
Naming NotesOur group selected the name “Carrera” because we all agreed that we like this name and it is easy to pronounce/say. The name comes from the Porsche Carrera, one of our favorite models of Porsche cars.
