Discovery Notes | Charlie2 was an adopted phage from a soil sample taken outside of Alumni Hall at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. Soil was collected about an hour after it had rained on a warm day in September. The were small sticks and leaves in the soil, but no rocks. Vegetation around the soil included flowers. |
Naming Notes | Named after it's finder's dog, Charlie. |

Plaque Notes | Charlie2 produces plaques approximately 1.2mm in diameter with a directional halo on many of them. It has been proven not to have consistent morphologies. Some plaques are confluent, some are isolated, which is the typical finding of this phage and does not seem to be dependent upon the concentration |
