Discovery NotesCharlie2 was an adopted phage from a soil sample taken outside of Alumni Hall at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. Soil was collected about an hour after it had rained on a warm day in September. The were small sticks and leaves in the soil, but no rocks. Vegetation around the soil included flowers.
