Discovery Notes | Soil sample was collected near the Space Research Coordination Center at the University of Pittsburgh campus. Soil was taken from around the base of a tree, about an inch deep. Soil was moist, clumpy, and medium brown in color. |

Plaque Notes | Chipper produces medium-sized plaques which can range slightly in size. All plaques have characteristic halos, with the outer edge appearing more turbid than the center. Plaques seem to reduce in size when a higher concentration of phage is plated. |
