Discovery NotesThe sample was collected from a patch of low-growing groundcover plants. The soil was dark, moist, and likely enriched with organic matter from the surrounding vegetation. It was gathered on 09/10/2025, and the temperature at the time was approximately 87°F.
Naming Notes“Chispa” is a nickname my mom has always used for me, meaning “spark” in Spanish. When I first explained what a phage is, she joked that they looked like tiny sparks, making the name both personal and fitting for this phage.
