Discovery Notes | Discovered in Broomall, PA --> experimental process in Oakland, PA. I collected my soil sample from a small area of sunlight-exposed dry soil found surrounding a tree; I did not have to dig for this soil, as it was essentially just an exposed pile of dirt. This circular area of soil was found about 2 feet away from grass. It was collected on a hot summer day in the high 70s (degrees Fahrenheit) on September 31, 2019 at 12:30PM. Although the collected soil sample was dry and crumbly, it was not warm to touch; it was rather cool as it was found under a shaded tree. The soil sample was transferred indoors, kept at room temperature. There was no direct exposure to sunlight, although there may have been minimal exposure through windows. My soil sample has been stored in its baggie for 3 days before it was brought in to lab. I brought in the sample to lab for use in a direct isolation experiment on September 3, 2019 at 9:00AM. |
Naming Notes | It was the name of my grandmother-- simple name that is easy to remember and pronounce. 22 is my favorite number and also my grandmother's birthday. |

Plaque Notes | The appearance of my plaques was uniform. There weren't any that had different shape or sizes-- all pinpoint-sized circles. They were all very clear that it was a plaque (no hazy circles). There was only one morphology present. |
