Discovery NotesCollected beside an old oak tree and a giant grass pile in Taylor's backyard on August 23rd, 2021, Crispé was found. The soil sample was reasonably dry with a few droplets of morning dew since it was collected at 7:03 am. There were no roads or buildings within proximity of the location site, and there was no noticeable slope.
Naming NotesWhile attempting to be sterile, Taylor Born and Henry Di Leo worked beside a bunsen burner while isolating a phage within the second week of their Biology class. Being new to the SEA-PHAGES program and working alongside a flame, Henry accidentally leaned too far over the blaze, leading to Henry's hair becoming scorched and crispy. Fortunately, the phage did not become contaminated, and the majority of Henry's hair was intact. Taylor then decided that the phage would be named "Crispé" to serve as a reminder of that day and to remind Henry to not lean over the top of the burner.
