Discovery NotesThe soil was collected from outside the Integrated Learning Building on the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. The soil was a bit muddy due to melting snow in the area.
Naming NotesS. Kurtiqi was talking about her love for the Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor, Dirtcake. Since the phage was collected from dirt, we all agreed that this name would be fitting.
