Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected from muddy, wet, slightly frozen ground on 02/03/2025. The soil sample was taken from a patch of grass adjacent to the Eisenberg School of Management, next to a sidewalk.
Naming NotesOur phage was originally named DirtyDiva (RIP), but was changed to Dirtydog for fear of the name not being approved by the phage database :( The phage was discovered from a sample of dirt, hence “Dirty”, AND who doesn’t like dogs? :)
