Discovery NotesThe sample (Lisa) was collected in a heavily shaded area on January 21st, 2020. The temperature was approximately 7.7 degrees Celcius (46 Fahrenheit) and lightly raining when the sample was collected at 10:03 pm. 5 mL of soil was collected that was dark black in color with a moist, sandy consistency after digging roughly 1 inch below the surface. There were several small roots in the sample with minimal other organic materials.
Naming NotesThe purpose for the phage name is, simply, a play on Rock Lobster and it is notably memorable. Also, I had outside influence from my spouse to name it as I did.
