Discovery NotesThe sample was collected by Langley Hall in a flower bed at 12:23 P.M. This bed contained high vegetation since it received a fair amount of precipitation due to a sprinkler system in close proximity. On the day of collection, the soil was partially saturated with water coming from the sprinkler since the weather that day was very hot and dry (86*F).
Naming NotesThe name of this phage is influenced by a professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers. Joel Embiid is a fan favorite and I thought it would be a great honor to name a phage after him.
