Discovery NotesThe phage was found within soil that was collected on 9/2/14 at 9:36p.m.. The weather the day it was collected was 23 degrees Celsius, partly cloudy. The soil was at the base of a tree by the Cathedral of Learning. The soil characteristic: dark and brown. After soil enrichment, round asymmetrical plaques appeared on a plate through a spot test.
Naming NotesI originally chose the name Skipp because this phage seems to skip along to its own beat. Procedures have never gone as planned in only one attempt. Because that name was too similar to another phage that existed, however, I chose EscapingEileen because based off of its behavior, it seems to want to escape the laboratory.
