Discovery Notes | Discovered in the Sylvan Residential area of at UMass Amherst. Collected from a dark courtyard with trees and damp soil. |
Naming Notes | The phage name we selected is STEMiffer. We chose this name because it includes STEM and we are all students in stem and we wanted to make the name more personal so we included the suffix -iffer from jennifer because the name Jennifer has a connotation of being a strong woman so we are strong people in STEM with this phage. |
