Discovery NotesDirt was collected from the base of a tree on the Gonzaga University campus. The soil was very wet and clumpy.
Naming NotesThis phage was name FounderPhish because the dirt sample was found close to the Grotto which was a part of the movie "The Little Mermaid". Flounder Fish was a character in this movie so we took the name and changed the "F" in "Fish" to "Ph" to represent phage.
