Discovery Notes | Dirt was collected from the base of a tree on the Gonzaga University campus. The soil was very wet and clumpy. |
Naming Notes | This phage was name FounderPhish because the dirt sample was found close to the Grotto which was a part of the movie "The Little Mermaid". Flounder Fish was a character in this movie so we took the name and changed the "F" in "Fish" to "Ph" to represent phage. |
