Discovery Notes | The soil sample was taken from a flower bed right next to the OCSB building on campus. The sample was taken about an inch down and the soil was very dry and clumpy |
Naming Notes | The phage was named after the fictional character from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Pannacotta Fugo. Fugo has a very explosive anger that is represented by his ability Purple Haze which infects its target with a fast acting, virulent virus through its punches. Much like Fugo's anger, my phage took a great many serial dilutions before finally exploding plagues all over my plates |

Plaque Notes | The size and number of plaques gave my plates the appearance of poppy seeds on bread. The plaques were all fairly small, but very clear. While the "pinhole" remains very translucent the edges of the plaque are less defined and hazy. As the plaques matured they became larger and had more defined edges. |
