Discovery NotesAt around 10:21 AM on September 11, 2022 the founder Helagenet Hailu went to small sewer like hole near Lack Matoaka Amphitheater at the College of William and Mary. I went down to the hole and dug about 2.5 cm below the surface of a damp soil. The soil was very damp and was collected using a small ziplock bag.
Naming NotesHEla was inspiration of the HeLa cells and the founder's name, Helagenet.
